Qwak for PC, is my first published game for the PC (and now it’s on Mac too). I did pretty much everything myself (design, coding, graphics, level design, tool development etc).

Qwak has it’s own website here. Where you can download a demo of the game to play on your PC or Mac (and hopefully go on to buy the full game!).

It’s not an easy game, but I don’t think it’s too hard either. A lot of people have said very good things about it, and there’s a nice balance of action and puzzle solving. Great fun, go check it out now!

All Terrain Racing (affectionately known as ATR), actually started life as a top-down racer; and was to be the spiritual successor to Nitro.

I began development on the game, after finishing off Qwak, and signed up again with Team17, who already magically had the graphics (by Danny Burke of Body Blows fame) for an isometric perspective racer. The result of this mish-mash … ATR!

Very much a love it or hate it game, people either like it a lot, or hate it! It wasn’t an easy game by any stretch of the imagination, and I think it was better received by the hard-core gamer types. Still, it did receive a lot of very good reviews in the gaming press (despite the odd controversy).

This was a really fun game to make. I started working on the Atari ST version of Nitro, and had an almost complete game, before signing with Psygnosis.

There were a few differences between the Amiga and the ST versions of this game, perhaps the most notable being that the ST version only scrolled vertically, while the Amiga version had full 8-way scrolling.

The game was well received by the gaming press, and well regarded for it’s playability. Considered a classic by many!
